I recently uploaded a picture in order to get approval, the website showed me that I have one "pending approval", I kept refreshing the status during one day, but after that the notification disappeared, and I did not get an answer about the approval, is my picture approved or not ?? I'm confused.

can anyone explains to me please !!!

other days have passed since and the situation is still "pending" maybe not worth losing time, the site is very nice, but it is useless. At this point I do not think that there are marketing operations set to increase sales

So... it appears StockFuel is stuck in a rut. Would any admins like to comment on this lack of approvals of files. I mean, not approving anything for a week is one thing, but I think it's going on a month. This is unacceptable.

I am a new photographer contibutor. a hundred photos uploaded via ftp the 6 and 8 / 11, have always been "waiting for approval. I opened a ticket for the 13/11 information. I had no answers. But the site is active? anyone? if he wants to answer?

This is a fantastic little site, great design and very easy to navigate and purchase the item you wish.

I have 230 music loops on here, which are on other sites too. I know they sell.

Just wondering if you targeting the right key words or audience, some songs have a lot of views. Just can't understand why there not converting to sales.

I agree. I totally have high hopes for this site. Some of the files that have been submitted look amazing. The time lapses especially are just beautiful. The songs are all amazing high quality songs, yet this site has no buyers? How weird...

2. You still own the uploaded clips and can use them for personal use.

Indeed, it does look VERY calm here. I myself am trying to get 2 simple questions answered on this forum for a while now... Nothing.

I was planning on uploading some of my stuff here too, but when I look at your track record (member for 5 moths, 200+ uploads and not one sale) I'm a bit reluctant.

Any idea on how to get information on this site's visitors activities?
How can you even be sure you haven't had any actual sales yet?
Just playing the devil's advocate here...

Hi!

Before uploading sound files I have 2 remaining questions:

1. Can a sound clip be purchased more than once or it is "gone" once it's sold?

2. Can I still use the audio of uploaded clips for personal use or do I waive any rights to do so by uploading them?

the search just lacks some instructions... try "young -adults"
you can prefix the words with - or + on a phrase to make sure the + word is in the result and - word is not.

I had people tell me that when they were using the site, they had trouble with the search feature. Search for "Young Adults" and you will get a bunch of senior adults - old people - This must be an issue with wrong use of keywords for these senor photos. Other sites will retreive results of young people, not old.

Does this mean the site needs an upgrade to some features, or does this mean that there is an issue with the keywords used for these images.

Other than that I have heard great feedback about the video and flash files.

It would be good if a buyer or contributor could share a specific image from the site with a URL and embeded "player" sort of like YouTube or Lulu.com. In blogging platforms such as Blogger, if one inserts the image URL or the file itself, there is no link to take the viewer to the originating page. It just takes them to another blogger page with an isolated image. Not sure if this if the stock sites could circumvent it. However, I think an embedded viewer/player might do the trick.

I know of the ad on the FWA site - How much is that ad costing you, and have you been able to track people who have clicked and then of the clicks how many people sign up, and are these people Buyers or Sellers?

I love doing web advertising and setting up tasks that will get the people, and the right people.

There are some things that might need to be changed, and or tested to see what the Customers and Contributors really want from your site, we would need to find the right people to complete a poll and survey, and have a Big Red Feedback button fixed to the right side of the browser to get users what they want.

I could go on and on, but I think we need to find a chat program that we could communicate very easily.

Skype is one of the best business FREE software IM's to use. www.skype.com

Not so sure trying to "control" the company is a polite way of making your point. My daughter's teacher always says "control yourself." The Stockfuel team has alot on their hands and competition is steep. Just do what you can to help on your own initiative, let your deeds manifest themselves and I'm sure everyone will be more successful.

I'm glad to see a new person here, I have felt like one of the only contributors / freelancers that check into this site to see if there is a community, and this is currently an apartment with 3 roomates, and now neighbors are starting to occupy other areas.

I really want to see this company Grow, and Get noticed, I have talked with Jaybirch a while back, and I had some ideas, but it would be for a similar site with different feature, look, and pricing, and different marketing strategies.

I really think that If I was able to control this company in a partnership, and have option to brainstorm together my ideas with stockFuel, I know we could have StockFuel go from low flame, to 3 alarm Fire!

Let me know if you want to work together on some plans and ideas, and strategies that I have been thinking about for this type of company for 7 years (starting in 2003)

Keywording on Stockfuel is no problem since you import it and don't require a second level submission process. Maybe you could offer a paid service for those that hate doing it and offer some kind of suggestions that automatically pop up for those who want to make sure they get it right. I suppose anything to help connect the right searches with the right content will benefit everyone.

I have to say StockFuel has one of the best no-nonsense interfaces for contributors. I have submitted to many other sites and the submission process is very clunky and inefficient (stinks). You need to know what you're doing with keywords here, but other than that, I hope it works out for the company and the contributors. Thanks.

I agree. It is very well put together. Certainly beats the some of the other sites I contribute to. Also, the use of iSyndica allows me to upload all the keywords, titles and descriptions effortlessly. All I need to do is note the category and the it is! Almost effortless. I wish the site well.
